━━ About

What is Hive Haven?

Hive Haven is a network of professional, acoustically private session rooms built for regulated therapy and counselling practitioners and more, across the GTA. Pricing is hourly at three rates — guest, member, Practitioner. At seven hours or more per month, the Practitioner module unlocks the lowest hourly rate.

━━ Where you are

Where is your practice today?

Hive Haven works at every stage of building an in-person practice. Select the statement that matches where you are, and we'll suggest the next step.

I work from home and want to start seeing clients in a professional space. I want to try it before I commit.

Drop-in hourly. Start with one or two hours. No commitment.

I’m side-hustling client work alongside a day job. 1-2 hours/week.

Drop-in hourly. Member rate ($30/hr) recommended once you settle in.

I see clients weekly. I want better economics than per-hour.

Practitioner module. Break-even at ~7 hours/month.

I’m building a part-time clinic. I need a regulator-defensible address.

HoneyComb + Practitioner for address and best room rate. For Google verification and advertising, consider adding Beacon SAB (Service-Area Business).

I’m full-time. I want a permanent suite for daily client work.

Private Suite is the right product, not Hive Haven.

I just need an audit-ready business address for my home-based practice. I see clients elsewhere.

For a regulator address: HoneyComb alone (Class A address with directory listing). Hive Haven isn’t the fit.

Not sure? Drop in occasionally to test. Activate Practitioner when weekly is your rhythm. Move to Private Suite when client work is full-time. Same operator at every step.

━━ Access

Two ways to use Hive Haven.

Pay per hour at the guest rate, or the lower member rate with any membership. When client work becomes weekly, the Practitioner module unlocks the lowest hourly rate.

━━ Hourly rates & capacity bundles

By the hour & capacity bundles.

Pay per hour with no commitment, or pre-pay a monthly bundle.

What to expect: Room access for your reserved time. Acoustic privacy. Session-ready furniture (two seats, side table, soft lighting). The community manager greets your client. Coffee/tea on arrival. Simple all-in invoice, no per-person amenity surcharges. Reservations have a 2-hour minimum.

━━ vs Alternatives

How does Hive Haven compare to the alternatives?

A straight, honest comparison. Each row shows where Hive Haven fits, and where another option may serve you better.

Home-practice

free office space in your home
Best when

Just starting. Low session volume. Privacy at home is workable. Home address acceptable for the practice.

Watch-out

Acoustic leakage to other rooms. Home address exposed on regulator filings. Client perception. Family/spouse/roommate scheduling friction. No separation between work and life.

Drop-in therapy office on marketplaces

one-off rentals at varied operators
Best when

Flexibility. One-off sessions. No commitment.

Watch-out

Quality varies dramatically by listing. No acoustic protection. Operator continuity question. No upgrade path.

Permanent therapy office lease

capex-heavy · long commit
Best when

Full-time practitioner. Ready for permanent presence. Capital available.

Watch-out

5+ year commit. Build-out cost. Landlord credit-check. Capex. Operator-churn risk if sub-leasing.

Practice-management software with virtual-session mode

telehealth
Best when

You offer fully-virtual sessions. Clients are comfortable with telehealth.

Watch-out

Doesn’t address in-person session need.

CollabHive Hive Haven drop-in

$30/hr member · $40/hr guest
Best when

Solo home practitioner adding professional in-person session capacity. Under 7 hours/month.

Watch-out

Subscribe to Seed membership (+$25/month) at 2.5 hours/month for break-even savings.

CollabHive Practitioner module

from $95/mo + $20/hr with Seed base
Best when

Weekly client work. 7+ hours/month. Ready to commit to monthly base.

Watch-out

Move to Private Suite when client work approaches daily.

CollabHive Private Suite

from ~$1,000/mo · 12-month commitment · Inquire for your fit
Best when

Full-time practice. Ready for permanent suite. 30+ client interactions per month.

Watch-out

Best for established practitioners. Long-term commitment with transparent break-fee math.

Honest answer: if you're seeing 1-2 clients a month and home is workable, you don't need Hive Haven yet. If client work is becoming weekly · or your home practice is bumping against family-life friction · or your regulator expects a non-home practice address — Hive Haven is built for that. Activate Practitioner module when 7+ hours/month make the math obvious.

━━ Growth path

The practice grows. The address survives.

Same operator at every step. Three Class A buildings. Seamless scalability.

01
Drop-in occasional
Test the model. 1-3 hours/month.

Regulator-defensible address.

Practitioner is the step before Private Suite.

One continuous growth path. Same operator at every step. No re-setting. The address grows with the practice.

━━ FAQ

Common questions.

Direct answers. We don't bury the material disclosure.

Why not just see clients at home?

Home works early on, but friction grows with caseload — a residential address makes clients hesitate, regulators want a non-residential one, and work bleeds into family life. Hive Haven solves all three, no lease required. (Counselling is Canadians’ most common mental-health care — 43.8% of those with a mood, anxiety, or substance-use disorder, Statistics Canada 2023.)

What’s the difference between guest, membership and Practitioner?

The difference between guest, member, and member + Practitioner rates comes down to volume. Guest is $40/hr, member is $30/hr with any active membership, and Practitioner drops to $20/hr. As your caseload grows, each step up gives you a better rate — see the break-even table above.

How does acoustic privacy work? Will my client’s voice actually stay in the room?

Hive Haven rooms have acoustically-treated walls and doors specifically for confidential session content, and sit away from any common areas, visually and acoustically separate from open-plan workspace. The acoustic specification matters — "private" without acoustic treatment is a misleading claim common in the market.

My client cancels last-minute. What happens to my reservation?

Cancel more than 24 hours before your reservation: no charge. Between 12 and 24 hours before: 50% charge. Less than 12 hours before: full charge. This is one policy across all CollabHive reservations, so it applies the same way whether you reserve by the hour or on a bundle.

Can I use Hive Haven for telehealth sessions (client virtual, me in the room)?

Yes. Hive Haven works for in-person sessions and for telehealth where you are on-site and the client is remote. Acoustic privacy, business-grade internet, and the double-door buffer protect confidentiality on both ends of the call. Back to back in-person and telehealth sessions are seamless.

What’s included in the price?

Room access for your reserved time. Acoustic privacy. The community manager greets your client in the lobby. Standard session furniture (two seats, side table, soft lighting). Coffee and tea available. Business-grade internet. HVAC tuned for comfort. Solo Pods, kitchen, and lounge areas available between sessions. All-in pricing — no per-person amenity surcharges, no setup fees.

Will my client know it’s a professional space and not a coworking lounge?

Yes. Class A building entrance with elevator lobby. The community manager greets your client by name. Hive Haven session rooms are away from any common areas, visually and acoustically separate from any open-plan workspace. Soft lighting, neutral furnishing, no signage on the door — the arrival reads as a clinical session.

I’m a regulated practitioner (CRPO, CPO, OCSWSSW, LSO, CPA Ontario, FP Canada, CIRO). Does Hive Haven satisfy address requirements?

Hive Haven by itself doesn’t provide a business address (it’s a session room, not an address service). For regulator-defensible business address, layer HoneyComb. For audit-ready verified residency, layer Beacon SAB on a 32-hour bundle (or move to Private Suite for Storefront).

Can I add Hive Haven to my existing CollabHive subscription?

Yes. Hive Haven drop-in is available to all members at $30/hr, or at $20/hr with an active Practitioner subscription ($70/mo). Hive Haven is reserved only with cash — Hive Credits don't apply here, unlike other CollabHive reservations. Members receive an advantage and volume users have another advantage available with Practitioner.

If I am a member, will I get the member rate at any CollabHive location?

Yes. Your CollabHive membership grants member rates at all three sites — Mississauga (350 Burnhamthorpe Rd W), Scarborough (305 Milner Avenue), and Kitchener (72 Victoria Street South) — equally, with no primary-site restriction. Reserve the location that works for your client; the rate follows members wherever you reserve.
